Holiday Weight Gain

Also, be prepared; don’t leave your meals up to chance. If you know you have a lunch time meeting and you’ll be ravenous afterwards, rather than feel like you deserve a baguette from Pret because you’re so hungry, make your lunch and bring it with you to work so that you’ve got it right there when you need it. Keep some healthy snacks on hand too, fibrous vegetables like carrot sticks with healthy hummus will fill you up and keep you satisfied.

Move every day
Exercise and diet come hand in hand, we can guarantee that if you’ve just jogged 5k then you won’t want to spoil your efforts by making poor food choices. Try and move every day, sweating is good for us as it’s one way to expel toxins from the body - definitely needed after a week or two of indulgence.
Drink more water
Often we confuse hunger with thirst. If you get to that stage of the day when you really feel like you ‘need’ something, have a big glass of water first and see how you feel. Really tune in and listen to your body, what is it telling you? Maybe what you’re craving is actually movement and hydration if you’ve been sat at your desk all day.
Take a cold shower
Studies have shown that cold therapy is incredibly good for the body. It improves circulation, reduces inflammation, makes you feel euphoric (amazing for boosting mood and alleviating anxiety). By exposing your body to cold temperatures, even just starting with a cold shower, it can be amazingly beneficial as you force your body to warm itself up which increases cellular metabolism in the process and ultimately burns more calories.
